Re: Credit cards

The Card company will send a bad report to the credit bureau, making it difficult for you to get loans. While continuing to add late charges to your account and charging the highest possible interest rate, they will try to communicate with you for a while, calling your home and work at all hours to harass you. If you still don't pay they eventually will write off the debt and give it to a debt collector, who will increase the harassment. If the debt is large enough, the card company or the debt collector may sue you. HOWEVER, depending on the size of your debt, there is a law, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, that enables an attorney to negotiate with the credit card company and reduce the debt by as mych as 80 percent.
