if a father dies and there is only one child mother is dease for 21 yrs the father had credit cards and there was a balance on one that he paid his truck off with but he had no wills no estae no insurance the truck was the only assess worth 1200 dollars and the bal on the card is 4600 dollars the collection agency wants the daughter to take care of this bill or give them the truck. the trucks was given to the grandson title change to his name. is the daughter required to pay the debt, i live in texas please help me soon they said they will call me in 2 days i can not afford to pay this debt of my fathers. thank you virginia

The debt is your father's - rather his estate. He is gone now and you do not owe this debt. They are trying to get you to pay something that you do not owe. Tell them to make a claim in the probate court and to quit bothering you for a debt you do not owe. If they persist, contact me by email.
