Credit Harrassment

Can a creditor or collections agent call you place of employment with harrassing questions and is it legal for them to call and talk to your employer about your outstanding debt and request employment verification?

They can call you at work until you request they stop calling you at work. They cannot talk to a third party about your personal financial business. They can talk to other persons in an attempt to locate you only. Sounds like you have a case against them for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
