Credit History

how long does it take to restore my credit from bad to excellent? or to clear my bad credit altogether? i have heard 7 years, but want to be sure.

A bad credit report can remain on your credit history for seven years. A bankruptcy for 10 years. And a tax lien for 15 years. You can always add an explanation or dispute to your credit report that may help improve your credit.
