Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Credit report

What can be done when the credit bureau remove reports that are false and then put them back 3 months later. Also collection agency will send a letter and it says respond in 30 days if this is not valid dept. I respond and tell them it is not mine or not valid and they put it on my credit report. This has been going on for 10 years now. I have been told I cannot buy a house because of this.

Re: Credit report

You may have an action for slander of credit, if the false report has damaged you. Has the potential lender stated that your loan was not approved because of the report? And will they put that in writing?

You also have the right to add a comment to your credit report, so that your comment will also show up when someone else asks for a report. Contact the credit reporting bureau and ask for their form for comments.
