Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Creditor Harassing me and it's not my debt

My brother purchased some electronics on credit from a local company. He use me and my parents as references without our knowledge to get approved. Now the company has started calling us at least weekly and sometimes daily trying to get us to contact him for them in a less than nice manner.

I have asked nicely each time for them to stop calling and have even visited the corporate headquarters twice now and talked to the customer service dept. and been told that it would stop but it continues.

My most recent visit was today but they can't guarantee that it won't happen again which I don't feel is an acceptable answer.

What is my best course of action, all I want is for them to leave me and my family alone, this is all very disturbing for my wife who ends up talking to them most of the time. They are very aggressive and rude.

Don't talk to them; write to them. Certified mail. Tell them (in the letter) that it's not your debt and to stop contacting you.
