I can't get Creditors to Work with Me!!

I have a big problem, I have two creditors that will not give me a balance of how much I owe them. They will not reduce over the limit charges and I still get late fees charges. So I've been paying them for over 8 months with no problems at all but yet I don't know what the balance is to the account. I've had the account for more than 5 years and Yes, I have money problems in the past. But everything on my behalf is working well. I want the final balances so I can try to get an loan to pay them off and work with the new creditors to make smaller payments. But how can I get to that point if I don't have a balance. They are not working with me.

What does it say on your monthly statement? That should show the balance as of the date of preparation.
