Death & medicare

My sister past away and I am her inheritor. She was covered medically by Medicare and Medicare has paid her bills. On one medical bill which medicare has paid their part, I am being billed for the remainder. Do I have to pay for this remaining balance?

You are not responsible, unless you signed a document stating that you would be. Her estate, such as it may be, is responsible.
