I had called them after they left a message I have received nothing in writing from them. he said they have requested an IRS packet because they are filing charges for fraud-something about my income, and breech of contract.he says they can take my land, which is paid for. how do i know if they are being truthful and what do i do? i am broke i have no money for a lawyer!

Re: debt collection
If you are living on the land, it's your homestead and they can't touch it. Do not send them any IRS information. It is illegal for them to threaten criminal charges to gain an advantage in a civil matter. Get their name and address, then try to contact an attorney in your area that's familiar with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and is willing to take it for the statutory penalty of $1000.00 for violation of the FDCPA.
