Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

debt collection

I am being sued for a past debt- it has been 4 years since hearing from company. Now they are sueing for interest and costs about $10,000. What can I do as I do not have $10,000 avail. and about to retire for health reasons? Help please.

One thing you might be able to do is take Ch. 13 bankruptcy protection. Might be a good time in your life to do it. Talk to an attorney. Good Luck.
