Debt And Collections

Mother was in Nursing Home. She died. Pharmacy has sent her bill to a collection agency with my name on it to be paid. She was married at the time this took place. How do I stop the collection agency from turning in a bad credit report on me?

Normally one cannot contral others..as here..but write agency and tell them that if they put on your credit you will sue for damages..but confirm you are not liable as you did nto guarantee payment AND copy the pharmacy who would also be liable..all CRRR
