Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

if there is a debt on my credit report that i have no knowledge of and was never contacted about in any way am i liable. its a large debt and i have no idea what it is. i feel if there is a debt they would have at least tried to contact me to get me to pay

Write credit reporting agencies////u can do it online..and dispute the debt..they should rfemove it..but if not..get more info and it may be a violation of fair debt collection practices
