The lady was extremely rude and told me that the amount I could pay was not acceptable. i explained that all the doctors were being paid the same amount so everyone would get something and again i was told that was not good enough for them. After she kept telling me my amount wouldn't and there was no previous agreement, and she was so rude, am I obligated to pay. Again she informed me she would only accept a certain . amount/

Re: a debt

The only payment the hospital is required by law to accept is payment in full. Anything less has to be negotiated and agreed to by both parties. If the hospital won't cooperate with your pocketbook, it's only a matter of time before they turn it over to a collection agency. Then you can again try to negotiate a payout.
