I was being sued for a debt that was settled years ago. I recieved a trial date and now I have recieved a copy for a motion for non-suit. What does this mean?

Re: debt
A motion for non-suit is a request to the court asking to drop the case. Unless it is dismissed with prejudice, the plaintiff can refile the suit at a later date, as long as it is filed within the statute of limitations.
