Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Deceitful Business Practices

I transferred my credit cards balances onto a credit card with a lower interest rate of 3.9% until the transfered balance was paid off. Later, I made a couple of purchases on the same credit credit, the interest for the purchases were 8.9%. On a recent statement I notice that over a year ago, the credit card company flipped the interest rate without my consent and without any reasons. They changed the original 3.9% rate for the transfered balance to 8.9% and 8.9% rate for the purchases was changed to 3.9%. I have excellent credit, I have never been late or missed any payments. It appears that the filpped was done just to get more money in interest because the transfered balance is far greater than the purchases. Please advise, thank you.

Unless there is some provision in the contract that you signed for the balance transfer, sounds like you might have a good claim. If you want to send me the contract for analysis, contact me by e-mail. Thanks,
