Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Default judgment on a loan
My son has defaulted on loan to a Credit union in Austin, Texas and is being sued. If they get a default judgment against him, will they be able to attach to his wages at work and how will this appear on his credit report and for how long?

Re: Default judgment on a loan
The debt is already on his credit report probably...and when they get a judgment, it will stay on longer..but they cannot garnish wages but could any bank account he owns alone..and property which is not exempt..he would do well to write an answer, call the law firm to negotiate a judgment and ask them not to put it on his record..Good luck
