Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Denial of employment because of an arrest, no conviction.

I was arrested for public intoxication and possession of drugs in the 1970s in Austin, but I have never been convicted of anything. Can I be denied employment because of an arrest?

What about being innocent until proven guilty?
