Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Divorce Decree Responsibility

In the divorce decree it is clearly stated who holds what responsibility for debts accumulated in the marriage. In the divorce decree it shows who pays for what. However, my friends credit has been affected by this, his ex-wife was responsible for all debts and he was only responsible for paying child support. What does he need to do to clear his credit?

He can also receive a judgment against her for the amount she was ordered to pay, but which he paid.
