Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Emergency call at work
I got a phone call at my job that said it was an emergency for one of my employees. It was from someone who said they were an attorney. It was about a credit debt,I found out later, that they owed and it wasn't even an employee they were calling for. It was my son. Is it legal for them to call me and say it is an emergency? And to call my job looking for him? Could this be considered an emergency? I am not sure if he was an attorney or not. It scared me half to death.

That's borderline, and not over the edge. I suggest you write to them, certified mail, telling them not to contact you concerning your son's activities.
