Executing Legal Contracts
In the State of Texas, can a husband sign a legal contract on behalf of the wife without Power of Attorney? For instance, can a husband take out a loan in the wife's name without her permission or knowledge?

Re: Executing Legal Contracts
That would be forgery. Debts incurred during the marriage, are a debt of the community estate, regardless of who signed the documents, but does not give the right to sign the spouse's name without knowledge/permission.
