Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

What can I expect from the sheriff that delivers me a writ of execution? Will they search my house? Do I have to let them into my home? Also hoe do I check to see if the judgement or lein was filed against me in my county office?

Thanks,

Worried

The sheriff won't search your home. He won't even ASK to come in and search your home. He will probably ask you some questions about your assets, and he may suggest that you call the judgment creditor.

You would look up an abstract of judgment in the County Clerk's office. I can almost guarantee you that one has been recorded.
