Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

My ex-roommate is threatening to take me to a small claims court for dishes and silverware that I supposedly ruined. Does she really have a case? She never asked me for money until I moved out, and never attempted to talk to me about anything. I never did anything to kitchen stuff beyond normal use.

It's impossible to know, without far more information. On the surface, it sounds petty, but she may have a case. It probably is not worth worrying about unless you get served with a petition. If you do, file an answer immediately. You would need to decide if you are going to retain an attorney, or if you prefer to represent yourself. In the interim, do not communicate with her or anyone else regarding this dispute.
