Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
filing a judgment
I haven't been paid for a job that I was subcontracted to do. The balance is $6701.50. Can I file a judgement against the owner of the company or the Church he did the work for?

Re: filing a judgment
Yes, you should be able to file a mechanic's lien against the property and you would have a breach of contract/suit on a sworn account claim against the contractor as well as the property owner. If you would like assistance from an attorney in either of these matters, then we would be available to assist you. Thanks. nemeclaw dot com.
