Friend's bounced check 1st verified by vendor

Friend was required to pre-pay with a $500 check to Dillard's before she was allowed to charge on my grandchild's account and her check cleared store's initial credit-check. Doesn't Dillards share some burden of the loss?

No. Your grandchild is responsible for her account, and she's learned a fairly inexpensive lesson.

If you're going to play bank, do what a bank does.
