Garnishment
I received a notice in the mail about garnishment of my wages; I thought that you could not have your wages garnished for a student loan in the state of Texas.DB

Re: Garnishment
You are right. General creditors cannot garnish wages. Their threatening to do so is debt collection law violation. Wages can be garnished by the IRS, for student loans and for child support. That is it according the Texas constitution.
