Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I have been harassed by a bill collector for some time now. The call my work 2-4 times a day posing as a warrant officer as well as an attorney stating that I have broken the law and that I was going to get arrested or sued.

When I ask them for the reference number were the warrant was filed or the lawsuit was filed they state that they do not legally have to provide me that information and then threaten me saying that I need to give them my bank account information or a credit card number now or they are going to continue to continue with the lawsuit or they are going to come to my place of work and arrest me.

I have sent email after email to get them to stop calling me at work but they are ignored and it keeps getting worse and worse each time they call. I have also told the person on the other end to stop calling me when they call and I was told point blank that they were not going to.

I know I owe $1500 for payday loan and this is all that I know I owe and I have even attempted to make payment arrangements but they are not willing to work with me and now because of the call's I am in danger of losing my job and I need to know how to stop them from calling me at work.

Any help you can give would be great.

if you have proof of such calls other than your testimony, you have a good case against the collectors..but discussing with them the debt etc is a waste of time..call a lawyer or learn how to file a lawsuit yourself..is about the only solution..IF you have proof of what was said in the calls..i.e. tape recording?
