Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Harassing Phone Calls

I was paying $98 month to a company, now can only pay $50 a month; due to medical bills, cost of living, etc. I called/wrote explaining my situation. Now they are calling me 3-4 times a day, being hateful demanding late fee and full monthly amount. Can they legally do that since I am paying them monthly?
