Hospital Bills

My 14 yr.old had an accident.We had no insurance.The hospital bill is over 12000.00. They are saying they can take my personal property and sell to get their money.Can they do this.Thank You

If you have personal property that is not exempt from judgment and execution - the answer is yes. Somehow I think that a person who cannot pay the hospital bill may not have non-exempt personal property. Tell them to put their comments in writing and you will respond in writing.
