Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

hot check in another state

It has come to my attention that i have three hot checks in the state of Texas, where I used to live. I currently live in Alabama. Is there any way I can take care of the matter here, in Alabama, instead of having to go back to Texas?

Probably not.

Depending upon the amount of the checks and the mood of the prosecutor, it may be possible to reduce the charges to a Class C, for which resitution, court costs and fines can be paid without your presence. I have only seen this done through an attorney, and it isn't a guarantee, just an option that might work for you. You should go through the attorneys on this site to locate one in or near the county where the checks are being held.
