Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
hot checks
As a small business owner, I have been told to turn over NSF checks to the DA. How can I do that? Do I have to have a lawyer?

Re: hot checks
Your county has a website that provides guidance on preparing the NSF check case prior to submission to the DA. You will need to send a certified letter with particular wording, that the website provides. It also provides guidance as to the various requirements. You may also check with the JP office in your jurisdiction. In most cases, you do not need a lawyer. TCL
