Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

My husban co-signed a carnote for my son He stop making payments and for the past two years we have been paying,here in Texas. My son borrowed the car and refuses to return it, can we do anything?

Whose name is the car in? If your husband's, then get the extra key I hope you kept and go get the car. (Notify the local police department that you have done this to avoid incident.)

If the car is in the son's name, then you will have to sue the son to get the money.....
