Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

identity Theft

I have just finalized a divorce. During the time that I was still married, I had opened a couple credit cards in my spouses name ( with verbal permission). he is denying that he provided me any permission at all. The court ordered that he pay child support and if I continue on with the divorce, he will press charges on me for identity theft. What can happen if he does this? Is this a criminal case, even though we were married at the time, since nI don't have any proof that I had permission, I think he will bring up the charges.

Re: identity Theft
