Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I have an incorrect delinquency on my credit report. I contacted my bank filing a dispute. The bank personnel stated that they had "specific guidelines" for removal/correcting credit reporting. I asked if they were posted or if I could receive a copy of them but she stated they were not available to the public. Is there a way to get those guidelines? Also, is there a way to get my the bank's notes for my accounts? When this situation occurred, I went to my local branch. The banker told me he had noted my account and waived any fees. I would like to see if there is in fact a note in my account.

Forget about somebody's "specific guidelines." If somebody is reporting something about you that's false, and you are being harmed by it, that's called slander. You need to contact the CREDIT BUREAU, not the bank. Tell your story to them - the whole story, start to finish, with dates and names - and write a letter (to the CREDIT BUREAU). Date the letter. Send it by certified mail (the postage will be $5.54). Demand that the credit bureau correct your credit report. Keep a copy of the letter. Send a copy to the bank.

Stop using telephones. Don't use email. Use PAPER.
