Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Judgement garnishing wages

We recently had a a leasing company sue us and place a judgment on us for lack of payment on the equipment that they confiscated. I agreed to pay 100.00 / month and just simply forgot to send the payment. It has been 6 months and now they have placed a hold on our funds in our account. How much can they GArnish? How are we suppose to eat if they are taking all the money in our checking account? This all took place in Texas

Re: Judgement garnishing wages

they cannot garnish wages..change your bank account and if you have direct deposit..change it NOW...they can garnish bank accounts..but the bank should not put a hold on your account..you must have had a judgment..call a local attorney and take all your records with you for help...we are in Dallas County
