The only way to get it off your credit is to obtain a Release of Judgment from the landlord who obtained the original judgment.

Re: Judgement paid but not removed from credit

Judgments remain of record until released by the judgment holder..no law requires a holder to prepare a release of judgment..and you may have to go to the Court to prove it was paid...but most mortgage lenders will accept your proof od payment and not hold against your credit..also, you could dispute it online..but consider using a credit repair company..a few do good work.

Re: Judgement paid but not removed from credit

Knowing you paid it and proving you paid are 2 different things. If you could prove that you paid it then you could get it removed. Maybe the landlord is no longer there. If it was taken out of your check are there payroll records? If this happened a long time ago, maybe the lender would accept an affidavit that you paid it.
