Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Judgement in Texas - Wage Garnishment from a Bank Account?

I recently had a writ of garnishment filed (after judgement) filed against my bank account(s) here in Texas. I understand that wages are not garnishable...but when are wages no longer considered wages? I have direct deposit, and my check went in two days before my accounts were frozen. Is this wrongful garnishment? Can I request that money back, or be released from the hold?

Wages lose their exempt status when mixed with the other money in your account. No way to tell one dollar from another just because the source is identified. Sorry.
