Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

judgement time

I defaulted on 2 very large balance credit cards 3 years ago. My husband left and I could not pay them. Do they usually wait this long to file for judgement, or do you think they will be doing so soon? I have no savings and only my home and 5 acres, can they put a judgement on the home and land?

Re: judgement time

if you are sued, get a lawyer...if not, do not make smallpayments as it extends statute of limitations..and they can sue up to 4 years after last activity on the account...
