Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
judgements
My husband and i have a credit card debt. It's about a year old. We are getting harrasing phone calls from an attorneys office in California and she tells me i have to pay in a week or she will place a judgement. Can this be done and what is it?

The credit card has to sue you..and it must have you served notice of their lawsuit at least 20 days before it can get a judgment...but you can reply and swear they have added interest/penalties etc not allowed by law...call if you need help
