Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

judgements

I recently have been given a notice to appear about a mobile home i bought with my ex husband. I am not working and have since lost touch with my ex and they cant find him either. I am the only person that is ordered to appear for the suit. I have no money and do not work except seldomly parttime. I have two kids and have married into another fourkids totaling six children i care for. Remember i have six kids, no job, and no savings.

In your opinion, with my current living situation, lack of employment and no savings, what are there options and what do you feel they could do to me in court? what are some possible outcomes to my case?

thank you very much for your help.

Re: judgements

I suggest you call the attorney and explain the situation. They may take judgment against you because you do remain liable on the note, and go after your property (which includes your one half of non-exempt community property).

If you were just served with papers, you'll have to make a written answer in response.
