Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

RE: judgment

If a credit card debt has been sold to a third agency and the agency is recieving monthly payment for the debt can they still sue for non-payment if the payment is not the amount they want? Can they get to a joint bank account? And do they need to know that there is a bank account?

Re: RE: judgment

The only payment they must accept is payment in full on the debt. They are not obligated to take partial payments unless an agreement has been reached to do so. They can sue on the debt, with credit given for whatever money has been accepted.

They can get to any account that has the debtor's name on it with signatory privileges. They also have ways of finding out where the debtor may bank.
