Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Judgment in Probate Court

Our attorney won a judgment over fees in Probate Ct after he was fired because we could not afford an attorney to rep us. The Judgment was satisfied within 2 months. It is sitting on my credit and I was turned down for employment because it is listed as unpaid. Is this attorney required to send us a release of Judgment after it was paid and can this be removed from credit report?

Re: Judgment in Probate Court

Based on what you have stated, it would be in your best interest to retain an attorney to assist you with attempting to remove this item from your credit report. If it is a valid judgment, then it may stay on your credit report for up to seven years. If my law firm can assist you with this legal matter or any other legal issue, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
