If a person sues in court and there was a judgement awarded by a judge can the original person have the judgement dismissed.

It's possible, if it's done within the short time the the judge retains jurisdiction over the matter. It would require either a motion for new trial, or motion for reconsideration, to try and change the judge's mind and set aside the judgment.

If the judgment is appealed, the appellate court may reverse the judgment.

If the judgment is interlocutory, that is, it doesn't settle all the issues in the lawsuit, it may be dismissed by agreement of the parties as part of a settlement.
