Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
I am Lauro De La Cerda I was contacted buy a magazine companey about a free magazine subscription. They said that they would send me a paper of which magazine I would like to receve which I never got in the mail. The only catch was that there would be a $ 49.00 doller payment. I asked the lady to send me the page to see what they had and if they had magazines that would interest me then I would mail back the page and receve there offer. They got my info over the phone which I should never have done. The next thing I know I get hit with tons of magazines women magazines I am a 28 year old male now they want me to pay for this. They already took out a payment out of my checking account I have cancelled my checking account. I have called the magazine companey to cancell the subscription they will not work with me they want me to pay 49.00 dollers per month. They have turned me into collections and they are herasing me garnashing my wages and putting a stop on my income tax check I dont know what to do I need help.

They can't garnish your paycheck, and they can't "stop" your income tax check. They are lying to you.
Go to Radio Shack, now, and spend $30 for telephone recording equipment. Record their calls. They are breaking the law. Don't pay them any money. Don't tell them about your financial situation. If they call, tell them that you prefer to handle this in writing, and ask them to write you a letter. Ask the name and address of the person who called you. Eventually, you'll have to hang up on them.
