Law Suit

My wife is being sued by a company who bought a old debt from a credit card company that she owes money to. It is a unsecured card. How should I respond?

Not enough detail to answer the question. How old is the debt? If it's more than 4 years old, could be defense of Statute of Limitations. If this is important to you, I strongly suggest you talk with a lawyer.
