Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Lawsuits

If a debt is sent to a collection agency to collect on and the collection agency attempts to collect and the debtor disputes the debt and the collection agency puts the status of the debt into dispute status, then nothing happens with the account for two years and all of a sudden the client pulls all of their accounts including this one away from the collection agency then the debtor files suit against the collection agency for supposedly violating the FDCPA after the fact, is there anything that the collection agency can do?
