leased repo

about 1 year ago i had to let a leased truck go. i understabd that it will go on my credit, but they said they would put a judgement against me since i couldn pay the remander of the lease. they also said if i was to sell my house they would get their money before i even seen it. is this true? can they do that?

They cannot just "put a judgment against you." To get a judgment, they must file suit against you, you must be served with the petition and you will be given opportunity to defend the case, which I would encourage you to do. If they get a judgment, it will not operate as a lien against your homestead, not even if you sell it.
