Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Lein on house

My husband and I divorced in 2006. I am still listed on the mortgage. My ex-husband recently had a wreck and is in intensive care and still unconscience. We do not know yet what his condition will be and he may need round the clock care. Can I move back in to the house in order to take care of him and our daughter without fear of the hospital putting a lein on the house? My ex-husband does not have health insurance.

Re: Lein on house

The hospital may put a lien for hospital bills and expenses that applies to any insurance proceeds. It will not apply to the house. I can be of assistance, contact me by email.

Good Luck.
