Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Medical Collections-TX
My wife has about $8000 in medical collections dating back several years ago.
The SOL expires on the debt between the months of July 08 and Sept. 08.
The collection agency has not contacted us in years, but I fear they may try to sue before the SOL expires.
I just pulled her credit report and the addresses on her report are old so my concern is that she could be sued and we would never know it.
Is this a valid concern?
Also, we have a joint bank account and I fear that I may wake up one day and find all my money gone. Can a bank account be levied without a judgement?
Any information would be most appreciated.
Thanks

NO, NO ......if a judgment is obtained..you will know it..and if they try to collect..do not pay anything unless you pay it all and get a complete release...she has tob be served for judgment to be obtained
