Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Is a minor responsible??

I wanted to know if i'm responsible for a car loan if my parent purchased the vehicle but had me sign on the loan as well. What I was told by the dealer was that I was signing to be able to drive the vehicle. I was still enrolled in High school and had no way of obtaining or fulfilling this loan. I had no knowledge about any dealings pertaining to purchasing the vehicle under my name. Now it is damaging my credit please help.

Re: Is a minor responsible??

How old were you when you signed as being co-responsible, and how old are you now? You may be able to rescind the contract since a contract made with a minor is voidable at the minor's option, or shortly after the signer reaches majority.
