Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Mobile Home Mortgage

I have to get rid of my mobile home because I can no longer pay the mortgage, taxes and upkeep. I have an assumable loan and have had three interested buyers. My mortgage company however says no new loans. It has to be moved as it sits on property co-owned by my ex husband. I have tried to sell it but am not having much luck. What are my options. I have considered simply letting it be repossessed or declaring bankruptcy.

Re: Mobile Home Mortgage

If you let the mortgage company come and take the mobile home, that repossession will severly tarnish your credit report and be with you for many years. Bankruptcy may be a way to help you get back up on your feet. If my firm can assist you, please contact my office manager Mr. Ed Smith ([email protected]).

Re: Mobile Home Mortgage

Of the choice you have considered, bankruptcy might be the best option to avoid future responsibility on the MH mortgage. They would have to pick it up and move it. Good Luck.
